In actuality it had taken Gabriel two days before he could take any sort of action. He’d spent the time looking for an opening and had found himself seeing what Sam saw. No one who didn’t have some sort of secret crush on the other person acted the way Dean and Castiel did.
Currently he was watching the two of them argue over a pizza that sat on the table. Sam for his part was banging his head off the table.
Smiling Gabriel had the perfect idea. While still blocking Castiel from sensing him Gabriel knocked out all three of them. Wasn’t like they could use the sleep anyway.
For Sam’s part Gabriel simply moved him to his bed. Dean and Castiel however were moved to the same bed and promptly handcuffed together. Gabriel had created the cuffs specially so only he would be able to remove them. He figured if they were literally stuck together the two morons might talk.
Looking down at the two on the bed Gabriel smirked and blinked out of the room. He wasn’t going to be around when they woke.
Sam woke first. He blinked and pulled himself into a sitting position trying to figure out what had happened. The last thing he remembered Dean and Castiel were arguing about the food. Looking over to the other bed he was surprised to see Dean and Castiel laying beside each other.
Deciding to see if they were actually breathing Sam got off the bed. As he did a piece of paper fluttered to the floor. Stooping to pick it up Sam frowned at the small fancy script.
I suggest you are far away from here before they wake. Tell the two morons that there are only two ways out of those cuffs. Me and well let them guess the second reason. There’s no fun in telling them everything.
Sam snickered when he read the note. Although being told to vacate the area made him worry about what Gabriel did. Moving cautiously Sam stopped at the end of the other bed. Dean and Castiel were still lying asleep on the bed but he could now see the handcuffs linking their arms together.
Laughing outright now Sam froze when Dean shifted and groaned. Freezing Sam held his breath until Dean settled again. Gabriel was right he definitely did not want to be here when Dean and Castiel woke up. As soon as he was sure Dean wasn’t going to wake up when he moved Sam tiptoed to the nightstand between the beds and grabbed the keys to the impala.
He was out the door a second later. Not long after that Dean groaned and blinked at the ceiling. Yawning he tried to figure out what had happened because the last thing he remembered he was in the kitchen.
Reaching out to rub his eyes Dean found himself facing resistance. “What the…” he mumbled has he sat up. Tugging on his arm Dean followed the chain to the other end and found Castiel conked out beside him.
“Cas,” when there was no answer Dean gave the handcuffs a mighty tug. “Castiel!”
The angel in question jolted straight up on the bed and blinked around in confusion, “What has happened?”
“I’d like to know that myself,” Dean said and held up his arm with Castiel’s hanging below.
“What is this?”
“What are they doing on our wrists? We are not criminals.”
“If I knew that would I be asking you? Now get them off,” Dean snapped.
Castiel was silent as he focused on the cuffs. After a moment he looked up, “I cannot. There seems to be something blocking me from removing them.”
“Great,” Dean said sarcastically. “Get up.”
Dean stood and tugged ineffectually on the cuffs, “Because we’re stuck together and I have to piss.”
Castiel looked horrified as Dean dragged him towards the bathroom. That space was just too damn small.
